Computers and the Internet

The computer is at the core of the Internet. Without it, there is no way that a person can access the Internet. Of course, it is also through the computer that the Internet was ultimately developed and introduced for public use. There is no Internet without computers. If you want to offer Internet-related services as a business, you would need to make use of a computer.

Web designing, for example, relies heavily on computers. It is a fact that websites are designed using programs on a computer. One of these programs is the Macromedia Dreamweaver, a long running and successful series of computer software offerings that make it easier for a developer to come up with a design. These programs allow people to introduce elements of a Web page with just a few clicks of the mouse, as opposed to hard coding done in the old days. There would be time that a Web designer would have to manually manipulate the HTML code, but majority of the work is done using the Graphical User Interface of the program. Thus, Web pages are designed faster than it used to be in the first days of the Internet. More and more people are developing Web design skills because of the ease in which one can come up with a design for a website, thanks to these Web design programs.

Internet marketing also makes use of computers. In order to produce search engine optimized articles, one would have to invoke the capacities of word processing programs like OpenOffice, Microsoft Word and a lot more. After producing those articles, you would have to use content management systems and file transfer protocol clients in order to place your content on your marketing website. All of these are done using a computer, and nothing else.

As you could see, the computer is the driving force behind the Internet. Everything that you see in the Internet has been produced by a person sitting behind a desk, and in front of his computer. You could say that the computer and the Internet go hand in hand: where one is, the other is sure to be there.
